MY FIRST SEM AT KUIS

WHAT HAVE I LEARN IN MY FIRST SEMESTER

     The biggest frustration that  I felt in my life when I got SPM’s result that not satisfied. Of course I never get to enter the best university that I hope since my primary school. My parents hope that I will get best result in my examination because I am a hardworking student and I always do my revisions everyday. Then, my mother advised me to be strong and do the best in next study. On Thursday, 21 of June , I registered at international Islamic college Selangor which is nearby from my aunty’s house. In addition, I did not have any friend that come from the same secondary school in this college. I felt so sad in my first day. Moreover, I have learnt many things and got benefits in my first semester that only left a week.

            As  a university student ,there was different as a school students. I must manage our time by own properly. Not like school , I must follow the timetable . First,  I have learnt about friends and lecturer. My roommate was not same course with me. So , it was a little difficult to discuss about subjects. If I be lazy, I did not get anything in my life and everyday I go to my classmate house far from my house so that, I can study together.  It learnt me meaning of  sacrifice. Sometimes, I also should learn about another subject that I did took it such as mathematics and  account from my roommate. I felt enjoy with her because she was a kind and indulgent person. She also like to share about her experiences to me. I appreciated her good deed.

 Then, I also have good lecturer that  they were gave me many knowledge and adviced. But, there was method that university study. The lecturer just gave simpe lecture and I must explore it myself . my first assignment that I have done , there was many corrections and I have to accept it then I must re do the assignment. I always go to the library to get more informations so I can finished my assingnment nicely.

            Therefore, I also learnt how to manage my money. Everyday, I only spent RM5 to eat. The amount of photostate, print not included. But, I felt happy because I can eat at where and when I like. In addition I can taste many types of food not like in school, the food  that had prepared by the workers. Sometimes, I felt bored . every week, I always back to my house at Melaka by taking train and bus. I learnt it from my senior and it was challenging. I must be careful about the others people and sometimes I felt bored for waiting the bus and train. It wasted my time.

            Lastly, I have learnt for  six subjects in my first semester. There were English language, Arabic language, akidah, masadir, Islamic studies and introduction to computer. The subject that I felt more difficult is introduction to computer subject because I don’t like to learnt about computer. But, for 3 months I learnt it , I felt  okay it this best subject. Now, I know to use Microsoft word, Microsoft excel and Microsoft powerpoint. For akidah and masadir subjects, I learnt it in Arabic language. It is difficult to understand the contents. So, I should refer to dictionary and remembered ten words a day to improve my vocabulary.

            The final exam coming soon. I hope I will do the examination with all my best. I should improve myself in semester two and  do not re do the bad habits that I did before. Actually, this college gave me many experienced for my life. Thanks to all my beloved friens and lecturers that make me smile again.
